Code of Conduct – Essex Super Series

This Code of Conduct sets the standards of behaviour expected from all individuals involved with the Essex Super Series,
including players, officials, organisers, staff, venue partners and spectators.

Our aim is to provide a competitive, professional and respectful environment where players can perform
and fans can enjoy high-quality darts.

1. Core Behaviour Standards

  • Act with professionalism and respect at all times.
  • Treat opponents, officials and organisers fairly and courteously.
  • Accept decisions made by referees and event organisers.
  • Display good sportsmanship in both victory and defeat.
  • No abusive, aggressive, threatening or discriminatory behaviour.
  • Maintain a competitive but respectful atmosphere.

2. Expectations for Players

  • Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled fixtures.
  • Follow competition rules and scoring procedures accurately.
  • Compete honestly and uphold the integrity of the series.
  • Respect equipment, venue facilities and live broadcast operations.
  • Represent the Essex Super Series professionally on and off camera.

3. Expectations for Officials & Organisers

  • Apply rules consistently and fairly.
  • Maintain neutrality in all competitive matters.
  • Ensure a safe and professionally managed playing environment.
  • Handle disputes calmly and appropriately.
  • Maintain confidentiality where required.

4. Expectations for Spectators

  • Support players positively.
  • Do not interfere with matches or official decisions.
  • Avoid disruptive, abusive or intimidating behaviour.
  • Respect both competitors and event staff.

5. Online & Social Media Conduct

This Code applies to behaviour both in person and online.

  • No harassment, abusive messaging or public defamation.
  • No sharing of private information without consent.
  • Public commentary relating to the series should remain respectful.

6. Breaches of the Code

Breaches of this Code may result in action including:

  • Verbal or written warnings
  • Match forfeiture
  • Removal from a weekly event
  • Suspension from future competitions
  • Permanent exclusion from the Essex Super Series

Serious misconduct may be reported to venue management or relevant authorities where appropriate.

7. Agreement

By participating in or attending an Essex Super Series event,
you agree to follow this Code of Conduct.
