🎯 ESSEX SUPER SERIES SUMMER GRAND PRIX – WEEK 2 REPORT 🎯
Another fantastic night of darts at the Essex Super Series Summer Grand Prix, with the standard once again rising as players battle for valuable league points and those all-important Finals Night qualification places.
Week 2 saw Rob Good continue his excellent start to the series, making it back-to-back weekly titles with another impressive display of scoring power and clinical finishing.
Throughout the evening, Rob looked composed under pressure and took his chances on the doubles when it mattered most, securing another £30 weekly winner’s prize and strengthening his position at the top of the table.
🥇 Winner: Rob Good (£30)
🥈 Runner-Up: Rob Edgar (£10)

🔥 Four Players Lead The Charge
The group stage was incredibly competitive, with four players standing out after each recorded four wins from five matches:
🎯 Rob Good (71.47)
🎯 Steven Chandler (64.73)
🎯 Rob Edgar (71.81)
🎯 Josh Eldridge (72.62)
All four produced excellent darts throughout the evening and demonstrated just how competitive the Summer Grand Prix is becoming.
⸻
⚡ Moment Of The Night
A special mention must go to Josh Eldridge, who produced one of the moments of the tournament so far.
Josh fired in a superb 12-dart leg, capped off with a brilliant 121 checkout on the bullseye, earning himself a healthy bonus points boost and leaving everyone watching impressed.
As the weeks go by, performances like these could prove crucial in the race for Finals Night qualification.
⸻
📈 Quality Continues To Rise
One thing that is already becoming clear is the increasing standard of play across the competition.
Runner-up Rob Edgar produced one of the standout performances of the evening in his semi-final against Josh Eldridge.
Rob averaged an outstanding 93, winning the match 2-0 and showing the level of darts that players are capable of producing on the big stage.
With performances like that appearing more regularly, the competition is quickly establishing itself as one of the strongest weekly events in the area.
⸻
🏆 The Race Is On
After two weeks, the league table is beginning to take shape, but there is still very little separating many of the players.
Remember:
✅ Top 8 qualify for Finals Night
✅ Positions 9-32 qualify for the Plate Competition
With six qualifying weeks still remaining, every point, bonus point, leg difference and big finish could make all the difference.
The race for the Top 8 is already heating up, and with the quality of darts improving week after week, nobody can afford to take their foot off the gas.
